The other day I was heading back home when I witnessed a robbery right in front of me. I was very in awe, I couldn´t help the lady who was being robbed. I went to the authorities though and told them what I witnessed, later that day they fou8nd the thief. Under no circumstance is it ethical to steal others belonging, that´s a an offense to anyone. People work very hard every day to be able to afford their belongings and it is unfair to steal others since you are taking advantage of other’s work. The actions that lead to that individual to steal from another person was because of what they felt at that particular moment, humans are lead by their sentiments and they do not reason until they have acquired an experience, then they recognize what is good and wrong. They use their sentiments as an excuse to produce bad actions or good actions. It is not logical to not involve reason in the daily actions we perform and we often leave reason behind morality. The reasons that lead the thief into stealing from the woman could be the following: The individual is poor and wanted to steal the object to be able to sell and gain profit to be able to eat, the individual desired the object because of the beauty of it, or the individual wanted the object to get revenge of the richness of the second individual. Therefore the individuals’ actions were lead by hunger, desire and revenge, sentiments that are strong enough to inflict an unethical action.
