Abortion is the termination of pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus, resulting or caused by its death (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion). I believe that deliberately terminating pregnancy is to destroy a human life which starts far earlier than at birth. Now, is it ethical to terminate a pregnancy? I think it’s unethical due to the fact that many of this woman want to avoid the responsibility of motherhood and they argue that they have the right to their own body. Also, woman tend to forget that science has proven that as soon as the spermatozoid fertilizes the egg (conception), human life is reproduced; so terminating the pregnancy is exactly the same as killing any other human being on earth (murder). On the other hand, exceptions can be made when the mother and child are in danger of dying and only one of them can survive and they need to choose which of them will live, or if other diseases come along with the pregnancy (like mutations, uterus infections, child mortality, etc). I believe here is where the mother might need to have an abortion, and it can give her the chance and possibility of conceiving other children. Killing a human being that’s about to come to earth is unethical, but I think there are various cases where I would consider having an abortion ethical. It’s quite a dilemma when mother and child’s rights are seen in separate ways. Just as the mother has the right to survive and have more children in the future; the babies procreating in the mother’s uterus have the right to live.

Abortion is considered killing another human being. There is n right for murdering a baby, even if it is starting to form. The state has the right to protect even the baby is starting to form. It is unethical killing another person, there are cases where maybe there is a way of possibly eliminating the youngborn.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what Maria Judith said because terminating a pregnancy is an unethical act. It is considered unethical because you are killing an innocent human being just because you don't want the child. Also, these woman need to start taking responsability for their own acts and not blame it to the baby who will son be killed.

I believe that every women has the right to decide for herself. She is the one creating her own consequences, therefore she has the freedom do do whatever she wants, taking into consideration the consequences she will have in the future.
