There is such opposition to genetic engineering by religious campaigns which promote the idea that only God can create or alter humans or any kind of life form. I believe that people should definitely ignore religion on this subject as genetic engineering can bring many benefits to us. Genetic engineering can allow scientists to have actual functioning bodies to perform tests and research with, which in turn would allow for a better comprehension on how the human body works, what causes diseases and disorders and the body structures, if the knowledge on the human body is really strong, with genetic engineering scientists could have a almost perfect comprehension of the human body, also genetic engineering might allow scientists to discover cures for some diseases and it can allow scientists to perform experiments such as the stem cell research which has been hampered by government and religious opposition. The purpose of mankind is to ensure the well being and progress of the human race, genetic engineering is essential to the future of mankind.
