Let God play to be God

Throughout time science and religion have always been in constant contradiction. Genetic engineering is just another way of challenging religion principles of creation. Cloning or creating copies of any organism with a fragment of DNA is against nature. Religion has always argued that the discoveries made by science are against the church and any belief they carry on. Therefore I believe genetic engineering is unethical under Gods judgment. Between God and his works there exists an absolute relationship. The works of God are such that only God can perform them, he knows what to create, when to create and if it’s right to create it. God is the only one qualified to create life. No science can play God. Cloning a human? It’s just like creating a new being, and therefore I can’t consider it as ethical. I believe that only God has the right judgment to decide what life is created or taken. It’s him who created the world and we shouldn’t play with Gods creations or how he has decided to create it, I do not accept genetic engineering because it’s doing the work of God. The entire concept o genetic engineering raises the pride and arrogance of human nature. Through the bible speaking, genetic engineering causes man to become like the Great Deceiver who said, "Ye shall be as gods”. Therefore genetic engineering is not morally acceptable.

  1. I agree with Soren Kierkegaard's opinion about genetic engineering; I think that God is the only one allowed and capable to create life. God decides when a life is created or when a life can be destroyed. Genetic engineering is not moral, is unethical under God's judment.

  2. I dont agree with this, because now days not everything goes through religion and it is necesary to keep on with science so there are more ways to improve the world.
