Freedom of Speech? YES. I can say whatever the hell i WaNt!!

Freedom of expression is always ethical and should never be abolished. It is the right of every single person on earth to be allowed to say what they want and it is not ethical to prevent someone from giving his or her opinion. Although it is true that sometimes many people disagree with the publication of a certain document, the creator has the right to be heard, even if he is just ignored in the end. Back in my days, the Greeks did not allow many scientist or philosophers to publish certain writings they considered unethical. The government was extremely strict and many people, like me, got even sentenced to death for simply expressing personal thoughts. In my time, I was rather a critic of democracy, and was also interested in knowing how much the “nobles” of Athens really knew. I found out by publicly questioning the people of Athens thought to be wise that most were ignorant and did not really know much. I was reprimanded by the society, especially by the rich, and was sent to trial, where I was found guilty of corrupting the youth of Athens. However, I still believe that it was a great injustice what was made to me and I was just expressing my thoughts as a clever philosopher. I believe that in this world there are many wise people who have ideas that tend to be different from what the rest boringly believe. Because of this I firmly oppose all type of censorship and ideas that claim that freedom of speech can sometimes be unethical. Let us just here the opinions of the rest. Nobody is forcing us to believe what we do not want to. On the other hand, censoring freedom of speech would actually be unethical.

  1. I agree with Kant(Jason) because people are allowed to say whatever they want, whenever they want. Freedom of speech is precious and is a right that can not be denied!
