I profoundly do not agree with the death penalty. As Rousseau states, men are born as naturally good people. They are like a canvas. As you continue on with your painting, you mold it the way you desire it to be. It works the same way with men. They are introduced in this world with a blindfold, innocent and young to the perils of the world. As they grow, life bombards them with all kinds of experiences. People are at many times disappointed with how the course of living comes out to be. They are molded by negative situations and angered at the unfair. This is how people get their minds corrupted. So, this is when I come into the scene. The death penalty is inhumane and primitive. How can a man be blamed for being the way society, meaning us, has converted him. It is the environment, not himself purely, that have triggered such angered and violent conduct. Lets ponder for a moment. How would we feel if society was hostile and reject us in every single way. We would grow tired and resentful and the only thing in our minds would be revenge. Revenge to the people that have not given us the opportunity to the way we want and to share freely, a society that has blocked our intentions of doing simple good. When this happens, we don’t see the point to keep trying when all you are doing is failing. So, it is outrageous to punish someone for something we have caused. In this case, we would all have to be punished because in some way we share part of the guilt.
