The state has the right or to serve justice by killing another person if and only if the person or the agent has committed murder. In my Theory of Justice, I’ve come to realize that death penalty should be served to those particular agents who willingly defy the law by murdering another person. Since the agent viciously desired to take another person’s life, knowing consciously the action that was going to be committed was wrong. In my point of view every society should consist of Equality and Fairness, the agent that murders violates that terms because they’ve taken that right from other individuals. Therefore is only fair that the state applies the death penalty to the individual who has disobeyed. By making this rectification then the goodness has been restored to the agent whose goodness was wrongfully acquired by an unjust action. This punishment is well served since I think that punishments must be at the same level of the actions that were received. An eye for an eye. By applying this within the society there will be balance, and every wrong doing will be punished. Justice will be acting among the society as the sentence of death penalty is served by the responsible agent. By following my principal of justice, the agent won’t have any benefit since it is not deserved. The life that was taken can’t be returned again, that’s why the agent receives the same dose of medicine he inflicted on another life. The system of justice then should be taken to the greatest extremes by the state in order to be Equality and Fairness within the society.

Aristotle aka Ofer is right, death penalty should be served to those who have done atrocious acts. If you murder a person on numerous persons then you deserve to be put on the death penalty. I agree with you that death penalty should be served to those who have committed acts of murders and have ended other life's.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Aristotle, death penalty may only take place when a person has done bad actions. Not only because others want to kill.
